Another jab at Bahçeli from Müsavat Dervişoğlu! 'He should put it next to the 17-25 December clock'

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu spoke about MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's remarks yesterday regarding PKK leader Öcalan and his act of throwing a rope during his party's group meeting today.

Speaking to ANKA, Dervişoğlu made another reference to the 17-25 December period, this time targeting Bahçeli.

'HE SHOULD PUT IT NEXT TO THE 17-25 DECEMBER CLOCK'

Dervişoğlu stated the following:

"Devlet Bey threw a rope when he was speaking in Erzurum back in the day. My reference is to that. He asked for the rope himself. I am having the rope looked for; if I find it, I will send it. More important than the rope is my speech today. He should frame that and hang it up. If I find the rope and send it, Bahçeli should put it next to the 17-25 December clock."

WHAT HAPPENED?

On August 19, 2024, Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç visited MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, and the 17-25 December clock in Bahçeli's office drew attention at the time.

The investigations conducted between 2013 and 2014, in which some public institutions and organizations, as well as four ministers, were accused of misconduct and bribery, were characterized by the AKP as a 'FETÖ plot'.

Regarding the 17-25 December process, which resulted in the resignation of four government members over corruption allegations, it was commented that the reappearance of the clock—which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli had said, "I took out its battery and fixed it at 17-25; we will never step back from our promise to hold them accountable"—after 10 years pointed to tension between the AKP and MHP camps.
