BTP Chairman Baş's request for MPs from CHP

The number of seats held by the Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) had fallen to 19 following the passing of Kocaeli MP Hasan Bitmez, causing it to lose the criterion of having at least 20 MPs required to form a parliamentary group.

CHP Kütahya MP Kasap resigned from his party today and joined the Felicity Party.

With Kasap's participation, the number of MPs for the Felicity Party reached 20, the number required to form a group.

While Felicity Party Chairman Karamollaoğlu thanked the CHP for this move, an interesting reaction came from Independent Turkey Party Chairman Hüseyin Baş.

In a post on his social media account, Baş addressed the CHP and made a call, saying, "Give us a few MPs too so we can form a group."

Following this ironic post, Chairman Baş made a striking comment, claiming that opposition to the CHP has reached 70 percent.
