First post from CHP's İzmir candidate Cemil Tugay
Following long meetings, CHP's candidate for İzmir has been finalized. The name that emerged from the Party Assembly meeting was Cemil Tugay. Although some CHP members have approached this selection with reaction, the first post regarding the candidacy has come from Tugay.

With a short time remaining until the local elections to be held on March 31, CHP's Metropolitan Municipality and 30 district mayoral candidates in İzmir have been determined.
The Metropolitan Mayoral Candidate for İzmir is the current Karşıyaka Mayor Cemil Tugay.
Following his nomination, Tugay made his first statement on his social media account with the following words:
"Dear residents of İzmir, we are setting out so that our apple of the eye, İzmir, can have a brighter future. Today, I want to promise all residents of İzmir here that we will work tirelessly for everyone living in İzmir. We will produce permanent solutions to problems, carry İzmir into the future, and work very hard.
We are proud, we are excited, and we are ready. Now, all together, onward for İzmir!
I would like to thank our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel, our esteemed Party Assembly and Central Executive Board members, our honorable members of parliament, our party members, and all my fellow citizens of İzmir who did not spare their support and trust during this process."
