Eren Erdem's 'Izmir' claim: Either CHP will win, or Mehmet Cengiz

Former CHP Deputy Chairman responsible for Media, Planning, and Social Media Policies Eren Erdem made a post on a social media platform.

In his post, Erdem stated, "Right now, Tunç Soyer, a name who would win Izmir 100%, is being replaced at this very moment by Mehmet Cengiz's man. The reason is that he supported Kılıçdaroğlu at the party congress."

Erdem's post is as follows:

"I would not have wanted to tweet like this at this hour. But unfortunately, since all diplomatic communication has failed, the necessity to inform the public has arisen.

Tonight, the CHP Izmir mayoral candidate is being determined. And Tunç Soyer is about to be discarded in an unprecedented manner! Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu and Veli Ağbaba's candidate, Cemil Tugay (Karşıyaka representative of Mehmet Cengiz), who is also considered by some to be a 'businessman' and by us to be part of the 'gang of 5,' is about to be 'definitively' nominated at this very moment.

How can this person be a candidate against someone like Tunç Soyer, who stands against the 'gang of 5'? Who has made what deals with whom! These will be told when the day comes. But, this night will be long.
