Former AKP member reacts to the operation against İmamoğlu! Criticizes Erdoğan: 'You staged a coup against yourself'

As the repercussions of the detention of Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (TBB) and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu continue, reactions have begun to emerge not only from the opposition but also from former AKP figures.

Former AKP deputy Hüseyin Kocabıyık reacted to President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan over the operation.

"IS THIS WHAT WE FOUGHT FOR?"

In his post, Kocabıyık stated, "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan… was this the place you were headed? Is this what we fought for? Is this why we were dragged through courts for years? You actually staged a coup against yourself, and you don't even know it!"
