Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu responded to a question about whether a trustee would be appointed to the IMM by saying, "The 16 million residents of Istanbul have no such agenda. The IMM and a trustee cannot be mentioned in the same breath."

When asked about a potential presidential candidacy, İmamoğlu stated that their current priority is to stand against lawlessness and injustice, replying, "When the day comes, the nation will decide."
