Mansur Yavaş harshly criticizes the raid on Cem Aydın's home: Were you looking for a tweet inside the house?

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş reacted to the summoning of CHP Youth Branch President Cem Aydın for questioning and the search conducted at his home.

In a post on his social media account, Yavaş stated, "The manner in which our CHP Youth Branch President Cem Aydın was detained and the raid on his home are incompatible with the understanding of the rule of law. A social media post is already fixed by its text; however, raiding his home with 8 police officers and searching his house brings the following question to mind: 'Were you looking for a tweet inside the house?' Such practices damage the sense of justice and shake our youth's belief in equality before the law. The law is not a show of force, but a guarantee of fairness," he said.
