Striking statement on Syria from Minister Güler: 'It has been realized that the final outcome depends on Turkey's consent'

The General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Celal Adan to discuss the budgets of the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and their affiliated institutions and organizations. Delivering his ministry's budget presentation at the General Assembly, Yaşar Güler spoke about the developments in Syria.

"THE FINAL OUTCOME DEPENDS ON TURKEY'S CONSENT"

Pointing to the new era that has begun in Syria, Minister Güler stated, "We will continue our active efforts and initiatives to ensure that the political transition in Syria is secure, seamless, and capable of resolving existing problems. If one must draw particular attention to this point, we are beginning to hear the footsteps of a historic era more clearly today. By now, all elements and parties on the ground have realized that the final outcome and solution depend on Turkey's consent."

BUDGET

Emphasizing that the budget to be allocated to the Ministry of National Defense is of vital importance for Turkey's security during this critical period when risks and threats are felt most intensely, Minister Güler said, "Our 2025 budget has been prepared with the goal of using resources in the most efficient manner while adhering to austerity principles. In this framework, our Ministry's 2025 Budget Proposal amounting to 623 billion 899 million 190 thousand TL, along with the 2023 Final Account, has been submitted to the appreciation of our August Assembly."
