Israeli Chief of Staff Halevi: We have no intention of governing Syria
Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, arguing that they are not intervening in the developments in Syria, stated, "We have no intention of governing Syria."
Israeli Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi made statements regarding the Israeli strikes carried out in Syria following the end of the Assad regime.
Visiting troops stationed in the occupied Golan Heights, Halevi argued in his speech there that they are not intervening in the developments in Syria, saying, "We have no intention of governing Syria."
Claiming that they have taken "professional and correct" steps in Syria for the security of Israeli citizens, Halevi said, "There was a hostile country here, and its army has collapsed.
We have moved forward to prevent the risk of terrorist elements coming here. Thanks to us, radical terrorist elements will not be able to settle in areas close to the border," he stated.
