At the AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting held under the chairmanship of President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the issue of lieutenants taking an oath with swords at the Military Academy graduation ceremony was brought to the agenda.

ERDOĞAN STATED HE IS SENSITIVE ABOUT THIS ISSUE

Erdoğan stated that they are sensitive about this issue, using the expressions, "Whether there is an internal or external connection, we will pursue it, we will do what is necessary, and we will follow up on it."

According to the report by Emrah Özcan from Turkey, the President stated that the matter should be handled with calmness and determination, telling party members, "You should also be just as sensitive."

It was stated that the curriculum and the recruitment process would also be re-examined at the meeting. Erdoğan said that the sword oath ceremony would be examined in detail and the process would be followed meticulously.
