Apple's plans for the iPhone began to emerge at the event where the latest iPhone 15 family was introduced. It was highlighted there that by 2025, 100 percent recycled cobalt will be used in the batteries of all Apple devices. Within the scope of these goals, a newly emerged report states that the content found in lithium-ion batteries will be updated.

APPLE'S NEW DESIGN PLANS

The company has actually been working for some time to switch to its own battery design. Apple, which wants to prefer alternative cathode materials, wants to use more silicon content here. However, it is a fact that silicon can swell during charging. It is reported that Apple has a solution for this problem as well.

On the other hand, this new design is expected to significantly increase battery life. Still, it is necessary to wait a few years to see this design in reality.
