The new features announced for Telegram focus more on functionality while also addressing the design side. The new features announced by Telegram in their blog post are listed as follows:
“Today's update allows you to find channels similar to those you follow, repost stories from friends and channels, and add video messages to stories. We have also added profile colors, wallpapers for both sides, story statistics, custom reactions for channels, voice-to-text transcription for everyone, and much more. Hundreds of millions of people follow Telegram channels to keep up with the latest news, content, and AI-generated images of six-fingered cats. To make discovering channels easier, when you join a channel, you will now see a list of similar public channels on the same topic.
-You can repost stories from your friends and favorite channels to your page, increasing your reach with just two taps. Reposting a story allows you to add extra content such as text, audio, or even video commentary, along with a separate visibility setting for your repost.
-When posting a story, you can now add a video message to provide commentary or simply make a face. Video messages can be resized and moved around the screen, and can also be moved along the timeline to start or end at any frame. The creative possibilities are endless, from giving a photo a backstory to creating a video chat with yourself as different characters.
-Our previous update allowed Premium users to choose a color for their names, links they send, and replies to their messages. Starting today, Telegram Premium also allows you to set a unique color combination with logos for your profile to make the page stand out.
-Everyone can set custom wallpapers for individual chats, making every conversation more expressive with different themes and your favorite photos. Now, Premium users can set a wallpaper for both sides, applying the same look for both themselves and their chat partners.
-Since 2022, Premium users have been able to transcribe voice and video messages to quickly see what is being said and even translate audio in different languages. With this update, all users can transcribe up to 2 messages per week; simply tap the ›A icon to try it out.
-Channels that can post stories can now see statistics for story views, shares, and reactions with detailed charts to monitor their reach and performance. -Channel administrators have a new interface where they can add or remove specific emojis to manage reactions. In addition to standard reactions, channels can also add custom emojis, receiving 1 custom reaction for every level they have.
-All Telegram apps can now detect the coding language used in messages sent with “`code formatting“`, so you can finally see the difference between Java and C#.”
