Have you ever wondered why the Moon can be seen in the sky during the daytime? Interestingly, some people believe this is a new behavior the Moon has started to exhibit. And naturally, a new conspiracy theory is born.

Stew Peters, a right-wing broadcaster and conspiracy theorist in the US, shared what he believes to be proof of a new phenomenon on X in a somewhat dramatic fashion: “This full moon is out in the middle of the day. That’s not supposed to happen.” In addition to the surprising number of retweets of a standard low-resolution image of the Moon, other users also agree that there is a problem in the sky.

In a report relayed by Chip, one user replied before recalling a second conspiracy theory: “I’ve been noticing this for a few years. I walk 3 times a day and I always see the moon on one side and the sun on the other in the mornings and late mornings,” and added: “Something very artificial is going on here. The sun is now white, not yellow like it was in our childhood. The moon shines like a lantern, it doesn’t look real. We must definitely question what is going on in our sky! Not to mention all the chemtrails.”

Although this conspiracy theory has been circulating on the internet for a while, no, the color of the Sun has not changed.

It still has the same color it had years ago, but the Sun may have appeared yellower than it is when you were younger due to higher pollution in the air. As for the Moon, our natural satellite is always visible during the day, although it appears brighter at night due to the lack of competing light; however, it is invisible for a few days surrounding the new moon phase due to the more effective competition of the Sun's scattered light.

If you look at a short video or a diagram showing the Moon's orbit and the Earth's rotation, the situation will become much clearer.

During most of its phases, the Moon reflects sunlight to Earth throughout the day and night. This is not something unusual or proof of some kind of conspiracy causing the Moon to move; the Moon continues to orbit as it always has. You might just need to spend a little more time looking at the sky, perhaps a bit more carefully than usual.
