US ship carrying humanitarian aid from Cyprus to Gaza has set sail
It has been reported that a US-flagged ship carrying humanitarian aid from the Port of Larnaca in the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus (GCASC) to Gaza, where Israeli attacks continue, has set sail.

According to reports in the Greek Cypriot press, GCASC Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos stated in an announcement that the US-flagged ship carrying urgent supplies has departed.
Kombos noted that the aid on the ship will be unloaded at the floating pier that the US has constructed off the coast of Gaza.
It was stated that the US-owned container ship named Sagamore departed from the Port of Larnaca this morning with humanitarian aid.
The GCASC had announced in March that it had established a maritime corridor to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza with the support of many countries, primarily the European Union (EU) and the US.
CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT HAD BEEN MADE
US President Joe Biden had also announced that they were building a large floating pier a few kilometers off the coastline to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
MORE THAN 34 THOUSAND PEOPLE KILLED
In the attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip since October 7, at least 34,904 Palestinians, including 14,944 children and 9,849 women, have been killed, and 78,514 people have been injured.
While it is reported that there are still thousands of dead under the rubble, civilian infrastructure is also being destroyed by targeting hospitals and educational institutions where the public has taken shelter.
