US issues warning and questions to Israel over church attack in Gaza
US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller evaluated the current situation in Gaza and the agenda regarding two civilians killed by Israeli snipers during his daily press briefing.

The US State Department stated that they have "asked tough questions to Israel" regarding the killing of two Christian women by Israeli snipers at a church in Gaza, and emphasized that areas used by civilians, such as churches, mosques, schools, and hospitals, should not be attacked.
Spokesperson Miller reminded that they have clearly stated to Israel that, as the US, they do not want any attacks carried out on places used by civilians such as churches, mosques, schools, or hospitals.
Miller stated that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has made the necessary reminders to the Tel Aviv administration many times regarding the reduction and prevention of civilian casualties.
In response to a question regarding the killing of two Christian women by Israeli army snipers at a convent in Gaza over the weekend, the US spokesperson replied, "I will say specifically on this, we have communicated our concern about this directly to the Israeli government and have asked tough questions about this incident."
Meanwhile, White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby also reiterated during his daily press briefing that they have conveyed their concerns to Israel regarding the targeting and killing of two Christian women by Israeli snipers at a church in Gaza.
CHURCHES ALSO TARGETED
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem had reported that the Israeli army was also targeting Christians and churches in its attacks in Gaza.
In a written statement issued by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem regarding the targeting of churches in Gaza by Israeli soldiers, it was stated that Israeli army snipers killed 2 women who were walking toward the convent.
The statement pointed out that Christian families have been taking refuge in the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza since the beginning of Israel's attacks, and included the following expressions:
"(In the Israeli army's attacks) 7 more people were shot and wounded while trying to protect others inside the church compound. No warning was given, no notification was provided. Blood was shed inside the parish building where there were no warring parties. They were shot in cold blood."
