Major hike in motor vehicle tax on the horizon: How much will each vehicle pay in 2025?

The increase rate for the Motor Vehicle Tax, which is paid by vehicle owners in two installments every year, has been announced.

With only a few days left until the new year, the Motor Vehicle Tax increase rates have been determined.

The first installment of the MTV will be paid between January 1-31, and the second installment between July 1-31. A 43.93 percent increase will be applied to the Motor Vehicle Tax starting in 2025.

Vehicle value up to 180,600 TL: 1-3 years old: 4 thousand 835 TL

4-6 years old: 3 thousand 372 TL

Vehicle value between 180,600 - 316,400 TL: 1-3 years old: 5 thousand 313 TL

4-6 years old: 3 thousand 707 TL

Vehicle value 316,400 TL and above: 1-3 years old: 5 thousand 803 TL

4-6 years old: 4 thousand 042 TL

1301-1600 cc Motor Vehicles

Vehicle value up to 180,600 TL: 1-3 years old: 8 thousand 421 TL

4-6 years old: 6 thousand 314 TL

Vehicle value between 180 thousand 600 - 316 thousand 400 TL: 1-3 years old: 9 thousand 267 TL

4-6 years old: 10 thousand TL

Vehicle value 316 thousand 400 TL and above: 1-3 years old: 10 thousand 112 TL

4-6 years old: 7 thousand 577 TL

1601-1800 cc Motor Vehicles

Those with a vehicle value not exceeding 452 thousand 800 TL:
