In November, hybrid vehicles were the used cars that remained on the market for the shortest time based on fuel type. While hybrid vehicles stayed on the market for an average of 44 days, it was determined that gasoline vehicles remained for 51 days and diesel vehicles for 54 days. Electric vehicles, whose share in new car sales is gradually increasing, were found to remain on the market for an average of 63 days in the used car sector.

The segment type of used cars also affects the average time spent on the market. It was determined that C-segment used cars have an average listing duration of 48 days, D-segment vehicles 62 days, and E-segment vehicles 76 days. With this result, it emerged that higher-segment used vehicles remain on the market for longer periods.

In the Turkish vehicle trading market, C-segment vehicles, which are the most preferred with a 50 percent share, remain on the market for an average of 48 days as of November. However, this duration varies according to the make and model of the vehicles.

While the Fiat Egea, one of the most frequently encountered models in the market, stands out as the vehicle that finds a buyer the fastest with 40 days, the Toyota Corolla with 41 days, the Renault Megane and Honda Civic with 44 days, the Ford Focus with 46 days, the Skoda Octavia with 54 days, and the Opel Astra with 57 days draw attention.

According to data reported by AA, the colors of used cars also play a role in the average time they remain on the market.

While black-colored vehicles remain on the market for up to 65 days, this duration is seen as 50 days for white-colored vehicles.

According to the regional results of the study, it was observed that the longest average time for used cars to remain on the market was in the Black Sea Region, while the shortest duration was in the Eastern Anatolia Region.
