Grey was the color of the first half of the year for automobiles
According to TUIK data, grey was the most popular color and Renault was the leading brand among the 456,050 automobiles registered in the January-June period.
According to information compiled from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, the number of vehicles registered in the January-June period of 2026 decreased by 11.7 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 962,739. Automobiles accounted for 456,050 of these vehicles.
In the first half of the year, grey was the clear leader in color preferences for newly registered automobiles. During this period, 190,529 grey automobiles were registered, followed by 117,004 white and 54,144 black vehicles.
GREY COLOR IS CLEARLY AHEAD
According to TUIK data, blue, green, and red also stood out among the most registered colors. Brown, orange, and yellow automobiles were registered in lower numbers.

When looking at the brands, Renault was the most registered automobile brand in the first half of the year. Renault was followed by Hyundai, Volkswagen, and Fiat.
