Honda issues urgent recall for 325,000 vehicles
In the U.S., 2018-2020 model year Honda Odyssey vehicles are being recalled due to the risk of water entering the rearview camera and obstructing the view.
Honda has issued a recall for 325,588 Odyssey models in the U.S. The decision was reportedly made due to a potential display issue with the rearview camera.
According to a statement from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall covers certain 2018-2020 model year Honda Odyssey vehicles.
The statement noted that when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, water may enter the rearview camera, which could lead to the camera failing to provide an image. It was stated that this malfunction could affect the driver's visibility and increase the risk of an accident.
As part of the recall, authorized dealerships will replace the rearview camera in the affected vehicles free of charge.
