Hyundai Motor Group has decided to recall 94,622 vehicles in the US due to a fire risk. According to a statement by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall was initiated due to the potential for overheating in the front power seat motors.
The statement noted that if the power seat control switch becomes stuck, some front seat motors may overheat. It was recorded that this situation carries the risk of causing a fire while the vehicle is parked or in motion.

Models affected by the recall include certain 2015-2016 Hyundai Genesis and 2017-2020 Genesis G80 vehicles.
Hyundai has advised vehicle owners to park their vehicles outdoors, away from other vehicles and structures, until the repair process is completed.
