iF Design Award-winning BYD SEAL hits the road with a version exclusive to Turkey
BYD has introduced the rear-wheel-drive SEAL Design version of its D-segment SEAL model, specifically for Turkey. This electric sedan, which stands out with its stylish design, 460 km range, and fast-charging capabilities, distinguishes itself in the Turkish market with high performance and advanced safety equipment.
BYD has launched a version of its sporty D-segment sedan model, the SEAL, specifically for Turkey. Following the four-wheel-drive dual-motor AWD version introduced in December 2024, the SEAL Design version, now equipped with a rear-wheel-drive 160 kW (218 HP) motor, has been released to the market. This special version was developed exclusively for Turkey while maintaining its stylish and sporty design.
SEAL Design appeals to drivers who want to choose an electric vehicle without compromising on performance. Capable of reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds, the vehicle offers a range of 460 km according to WLTP standards with its 61.4 kWh battery, and its battery can be fast-charged from 30% to 80% in just 26 minutes.
Crowned with the iF Design Award, the model provides an efficient and quiet ride thanks to its aerodynamic structure. The SEAL is offered in five color options: Ice Blue, Atlantis Gray, Cloud Gray, Midnight Black, and Polar White. The interior stands out with black and light blue vegan leather upholstery options, and 18-inch wheels are among the unique details of this version.
SEAL Design draws attention with its rich equipment features. Technological hardware includes a 15.6-inch electric rotating touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a panoramic view camera, a heated leather steering wheel, ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system.
The model, which is also strong in terms of safety equipment, managed to receive 5 stars in Euro NCAP crash tests. Systems such as Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Child Presence Detection aim to protect both the driver and passengers.
The new SEAL Design will be available for sale in BYD showrooms starting from mid-May. With a price tag of 1,850,000 TL set for the launch period and falling into the 10% SCT (Special Consumption Tax) bracket, this electric sedan emerges as a prominent option in the Turkish market.
