Only 2 days left for UTTS installation! Penalties are looming
Time is running out for commercial vehicle owners to install UTTS devices. Those who fail to fulfill their obligations by June 30 will face fines of up to 140,000 TL.
The National Vehicle Identification System (UTTS), implemented for vehicles acquired by taxpayers through leasing or included in business operations and used for work, allows users to have their Vehicle Identification Units (TTB) installed until June 30.
WHEN IS THE LAST DAY FOR UTTS?
The UTTS, which ensures that vehicle license plate information is automatically transmitted to payment recording devices during fuel purchases to ensure competitive equality in the fuel market and to effectively combat the informal economy, has begun operations under the Revenue Administration. A requirement has been introduced to install a TTB, which contains information regarding the vehicle, at the fuel tank inlets of obligated vehicles.
To ensure that vehicle owners subject to the UTTS do not experience any grievances and that taxpayers do not face criminal sanctions, they must complete their TTB installation procedures via the UTTS website by June 30.
NO MORE MANUAL LICENSE PLATE ENTRY
With the system, the information contained in the TTB is read automatically by the Vehicle Identification Reader (TTO) and securely transmitted to the Payment Recording Device (ÖKC) without the need for manual entry of vehicle license plate information.
The ÖKC receipt obtained after the fuel purchase will show information indicating that it was issued within the scope of the UTTS.

HOW MUCH WILL THE FINE BE FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT REGISTER FOR UTTS?
A special monetary fine ranging from 7,000 TL to 28,000 TL is applied to vehicles that are not registered under the UTTS obligation.
All vehicle owners within the scope, regardless of whether their fuel expenses are shown as business expenses, who have completed their TTB registration and application procedures on the UTTS website, must complete the TTB installations for their vehicles by June 30.
HOW MUCH IS THE IRREGULARITY FINE?
Special Irregularity Fines ranging from 7,000 TL to 140,000 TL may be applied to taxpayers who act contrary to the procedures and principles regulated in the UTTS Communiqué or who fail to fulfill their obligations within the specified periods.
