Porsche's first-half deliveries fall 16 percent: Sales at weakest level in 6 years
Porsche's January-June deliveries fell to 122,306 units. Declines in China and North America weakened the global picture.
German luxury automaker Porsche experienced a significant decline in its global deliveries in the first half of 2026. The company's deliveries for the January-June period fell by 16 percent compared to the same period last year, dropping to 122,306 units.
With this result, Porsche recorded its weakest first-half sales performance in the last 6 years. The decline was driven primarily by a loss of demand in the company's major markets.

While sales in North America fell by 13 percent, the decline in China reached 32 percent. Porsche reported that the weakness in sales was influenced by the discontinuation of the internal combustion engine 718 model, the high base effect of the fully electric Macan model, and the expiration of tax incentives for electric and hybrid vehicles in the US.
DECLINE IN SHARES
Following the sales data, Porsche shares traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange experienced a loss in value of up to 1.3 percent during the day.

It is stated that CEO Michael Leiters, who took office in January, is continuing restructuring efforts aimed at increasing the company's profitability due to challenges in the electric vehicle strategy and a slowdown in demand.
In April, Porsche decided to sell its shares in the Bugatti partnership to support profitability. Company management signaled that new asset sales could be on the agenda in the coming period to increase focus and strengthen returns.
