Skoda's seven-seater electric SUV model Peaq prepares for launch: 610-kilometer range target
Skoda has shared the first details regarding the design and technical options of its seven-seater electric SUV model, the Peaq, which will be unveiled in France on June 23.
Skoda has released official design sketches for its new electric SUV model, the Peaq. The model, positioned as the brand's new seven-seater flagship, will have its world premiere in France on June 23.
At approximately 4.9 meters in length, the Peaq is set to become Skoda's largest passenger car to date. The model was developed using the brand's "Modern Solid" design language; the slim T-shaped LED headlights and the "Tech-Deck Face" used on the glossy black front panel are among the standout design elements.
Instead of the rear-hinged doors seen on concept cars, it appears the Peaq will arrive with a body structure closer to mass production that emphasizes functionality. The spacious interior and seven-seat layout indicate that the model will particularly appeal to large families and users looking for a large SUV.
BATTERY AND RANGE OPTIONS
Built on the Volkswagen Group's updated MEB platform, the Peaq is expected to be offered with two battery options. The entry-level Peaq 60 features a 63 kWh battery, 201 horsepower, and a 430-kilometer range.
For the top-tier version, the Peaq 90, information regarding a 91 kWh battery, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive option, and 295 horsepower has been shared. The range value announced for this version reaches up to 610 kilometers.
On the charging side, the fast-charging capability is notable. According to the information shared, the Peaq's battery will be able to reach from 10 percent to 80 percent in 28 minutes. Skoda has not yet shared any information regarding the model's price.
