Volkswagen and Audi recall thousands of vehicles! Watch out for these models

Volkswagen and Audi, which belongs to the Volkswagen Group, are recalling thousands of vehicles due to a serious defect. According to the German companies' statement, thousands of Golf, Jetta, and A3 models may be at risk of fire.

The recall request was made due to a production issue. The German automakers report that there may be fuel leaks in some models and have therefore recalled a total of 261,257 vehicles for repairs.

Volkswagen and Audi, under the Volkswagen Group, are calling 261 thousand vehicles to service. The German manufacturers state that due to a manufacturing issue, the seals inside the suction jet pump in the fuel tank are faulty. It is stated that this issue means that leaking fuel could flow into the emission system and accumulate there. The Volkswagen Group also notes that the accumulated fuel could pose a fire risk and announces that the affected vehicles will be repaired free of charge at service centers. Furthermore, it is emphasized that the new pump, developed as version 2.0, will be installed in the vehicles, allowing them to be used trouble-free for many years.

The Volkswagen Group is recalling the 2015-2020 Audi A3 Sedan, 2015-2019 Audi A3 Cabrio, 2019-2020 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, 2015-2020 Volkswagen Golf, 2015-2020 Volkswagen Golf GTI, and 2015-2019 Sportwagen models for service due to this issue. The Volkswagen Group, which is recalling a total of 261,257 vehicles, had previously recalled vehicles due to this same issue.
