Following the İYİ Party's drop to the sixth-largest party nationwide, a series of resignations occurred within the party, and Chairwoman Meral Akşener decided to hold an extraordinary convention the day after the election.

Following the convention decision, İYİ Party Founders' Board Member Günay Kodaz and İYİ Party Deputy Chairman for Migration Policies Mehmet Tolga Akalın announced that they would be candidates for the party leadership.

4 MORE NAMES MAY RUN

As eyes in the İYİ Party turn to the convention to be held on April 27, it has been suggested that 4 more names will run for candidacy.

Journalist Bengü Şap Babaeker shared backstage information from the İYİ Party on Halk TV. According to this, Balıkesir Deputy Op. Dr. Turhan Çömez, Bilge Yılmaz, İYİ Party Ankara Deputy Koray Aydın, and İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu are also mentioned as potential candidates to challenge Akşener. It was stated that these individuals are waiting to see whether Akşener will run and will make their moves accordingly.
