AKP's Kızılcahamam camp, held last weekend, has brought news that will upset minimum wage earners and retirees. 

NO RAISES OR IMPROVEMENTS!

According to a report by Besti Karalar from Ekonomim, the upcoming period will see a realistic approach to regulations that include structural reforms, and progress will be made by conducting impact analyses on the steps to be taken. While promises recently made by the opposition regarding improvements to the minimum wage and retirement pensions are not considered realistic, the opposition's promises will in no way be on the AKP's agenda. 

In other words, there will be no increase in the minimum wage in July, nor are any additional improvements planned for retirement pensions, including base salaries.

Reducing inflation to single digits has been set as the top priority for the coming period. The prevailing view within the AKP is that elections should not be held before inflation is brought down to single digits. The priority agenda for the coming days will be fiscal measures. At this point, ensuring tax justice and efficiency is on the AKP's table. Steps will be taken to eliminate the view that large companies in Turkey not paying enough taxes undermines tax justice.

The report also stated that the remarks made by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek to NTV, “A significant portion of corporate tax payers in Turkey have been declaring losses for many years. Would you keep a company open that has been losing money for 20 years?” are a reflection of the evaluations made in Kızılcahamam.
