CHP becomes the leading party in the poll: He wanted Ankara, but was crossed off
Mamak Mayor Murat Köse, who was alleged to have conducted PR work on social media by transferring funds to pro-AKP troll accounts, had become a candidate for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. It was stated that Köse has been crossed off and that the CHP has taken the lead in the district.
Mamak Mayor of Ankara, Murat Köse, had recently announced his candidacy for the metropolitan municipality.
According to the report on Halktv.com.tr; it was noted that Köse, who failed to meet 3 out of 6 criteria, caused a decline in votes in a district like Mamak.
While the AKP's vote share, which was 40 percent in 2018, remained at 33 percent in 2023, the fact that the CHP, which increased its votes over the 5-year period, became the leading party in the Mamak district caused discomfort within the party organizations.
It has become almost certain that Mamak Mayor Murat Köse will not be nominated again.
