CHP hits the field tomorrow! IYI Party GIK expresses grievance that Yavaş and İmamoğlu 'did not take responsibility'

In the IYI Party, CHP leader Özgür Özel's cooperation proposal was rejected by the General Administrative Board (GİK).

According to the report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün; members who said no to cooperation with the CHP at the GİK meeting assessed that “The CHP took sole credit for the 2019 election success.”

GRIEVANCE OVER YAVAŞ AND İMAMOĞLU

The meeting also addressed the events that took place at the six-party table established before the Presidential Elections, the first round of which was held on May 14. Expressing that they expected Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş and Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu to “take responsibility” after Akşener left the table, IYI Party members complained, saying, “The work we did for Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu was not recognized.”

It was argued that the possibility of the CHP cooperating with HEDEP was also influential in the decision of “No to cooperation with the CHP in the local elections” that emerged from the meeting. On the other hand, it was alleged that some members at the meeting also criticized the lack of a concrete proposal from the CHP regarding cooperation.

25 PROVINCIAL AND DISTRICT MAYORS TO BE ANNOUNCED

In the IYI Party, which will “explain its own identity and staff” during the local election process, mayoral candidates will be announced at the Group Meeting. 25 provincial and district mayors will be determined in the IYI Party Group.

On the CHP side, the view of “We respect it” prevailed against the IYI Party's decision. While it was learned that there are those in the party base who think that entering the election without an alliance could be beneficial, it was noted that CHP members will clearly explain what happened to the base and will act with a “Target base alliance” strategy.

CHP ON THE FIELD TOMORROW

According to information obtained from CHP sources, over 100 deputies will be deployed to provinces for the local elections as of December 7. Primaries will be held in 657 electoral districts where there is no candidate yet. In case more than one candidate stands out in the primary, priority will be given to female candidates. If all the prominent candidates are male, the organizations will be consulted through the survey method.

HEDEP LEFT THE DOOR AJAR

In HEDEP, whose position in the local elections is of critical importance and which has announced its tendency to field candidates in 81 provinces, primaries will also be held for mayoral candidates. HEDEP, which started the candidate application process on November 27, will not close the door to negotiations on cooperation with parties.
