Most recently, it was noted that during an AKP MKYK meeting, AKP member Bülent Arınç's son, Mücahit Arınç, criticized the support for the MHP candidate in Manisa, to which Erdoğan responded by saying, "What were we supposed to do in Manisa? It is an MHP municipality."

According to a report by Selda Güneysu from Cumhuriyet, it was alleged that Erdoğan was "angered" by the mention of former AKP member and Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı being elected from the İYİ Party as an example, and that he reacted by saying, "He was an immoral person. We did not research his past when he was made our mayoral candidate. However, he later revealed himself through his actions and was caught. Let the İYİ Party use him to the fullest."

It was also stated that during the meeting, in response to the criticism that "İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu talked about city restaurants and gained votes from there. We were insufficient in explaining our services," Erdoğan replied, "What is so special about a city restaurant? If he won this election with a city restaurant, then shame on us."

Following this, it was claimed that AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala also criticized the MKYK member's remarks, stating, "The city restaurant idea is absurd."
