Speculation regarding a cabinet reshuffle, which began following the March 31 local elections, has returned to the agenda. It is now expected that four ministers will be replaced.
AKP’s fall to second place for the first time in 22 years in the March 31 local elections sparked discussions of a Cabinet reshuffle, which has returned to the agenda in recent days.
It has been claimed that Minister of Labor Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat will also be replaced.
According to Veli Toprak from Sözcü, it is stated that Minister Koca is determined to resign, and Deputy Minister Şuayip Birinci is being considered as his replacement.
It is stated that Işıkhan will leave due to failure, while Bolat will step down for family reasons.
Two young ministers in the cabinet are also being accused of making “personal” political calculations.
