It turns out that politician requested the Erdoğan-Ayşe Ateş meeting! 'In the last meeting...'

Erdoğan will hold a meeting with Ayşe Ateş, the wife of the murdered former Ülkü Ocakları Education and Culture Foundation President Sinan Ateş, within the next few days. 

Journalist Murat Yetkin wrote that Özel had suggested to Erdoğan that he should also listen to what the wife of Sinan Ateş has to say regarding the murder.

"IN THE LAST MEETING, YES"

Yetkin used the following expressions: 

"I asked CHP leader Özgür Özel a question shortly after his second meeting with Sinan Ateş's wife, Ayşe Ateş, on June 10, one day before he hosted President Tayyip Erdoğan at the CHP Headquarters:

– Did you suggest to President Erdoğan that he meet with Ayşe Ateş?

The reason I asked the question was that immediately after his meeting on June 10, reports emerged that Erdoğan's Chief of Staff, Hasan Doğan, had called Ayşe Ateş to inform her that the President would receive her within a few days.

Özel's response was short and clear:

– In the last meeting, yes.

If Özel had not made this suggestion, would Erdoğan have still wanted to hear from her directly about what she had to say regarding her husband's murder? We do not know."
