It is being awaited with curiosity which names IYI Party leader Meral Akşener will field against Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, whom she had pointed to as presidential candidates during the crisis process within the Table of Six before the presidential elections.

SERVET AVCI HAD COME TO THE AGENDA FOR ANKARA

Servet Avcı, the former chief advisor to Mansur Yavaş, had come to the agenda for Ankara in the IYI Party, which wants to field a candidate with 'idealist roots' against Mansur Yavaş.

FIRST MEETING BETWEEN AKŞENER AND AVCI

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, it was learned that Akşener held her first meeting with Avcı. While IYI Party staff stated that the meeting went positively, they noted that Avcı is ready for candidacy.

It was alleged that during the meeting, Avcı conveyed to Akşener that he “has received the support of prominent idealist figures in Ankara.” While it is stated that the party will quickly announce its candidates in 81 provinces after the new year, it is noted that the announcement of Avcı's candidacy in Ankara will not take long. Party staff comment that Avcı's candidacy will unite Turkish nationalists in Ankara.

YAVUZ AĞIRALİOĞLU WILL ALSO SUPPORT AVCI

It is stated that Yavuz Ağıralioğlu, who resigned from the IYI Party before the general elections and is preparing to establish a new party, will also support Avcı in Ankara. The party management assesses that “a ‘nationalist front’ will be established with Avcı's candidacy.” On the other hand, the number of those in the party who do not want a candidate to be fielded against Yavaş is also noteworthy. It is claimed that the wave of resignations in the party will grow after Avcı's candidacy is announced.
