Murat Kurum's gaffes show no signs of stopping: The matter has reached Erdoğan!

The People's Alliance's Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayoral Candidate Murat Kurum is constantly making gaffes during his campaign process, which has become a hot topic on social media.

Kurum, who confused the districts of Beykoz, later went on to confuse Küçükçekmece and Büyükçekmece.

Furthermore, while stating that IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu had fulfilled 87 percent of his promises, Kurum most recently said of İmamoğlu, "He doesn't even have ayran to drink..." and laughed.

İmamoğlu, in turn, had called him an "amateur candidate."

Some AKP members brought up Kurum's situation during a meeting. Erdoğan, however, pushed back against party members who expressed their views that the consecutive remarks were negatively affecting the campaign process and were spreading on social media.
