Following the death of Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who passed away on April 3 due to a heart attack, the inheritance left to his daughter, Ceren Önder Kandemir, had become a subject of public curiosity. Kandemir made a statement to put an end to the speculations surrounding this matter.
Responding to claims regarding her father's estate, Kandemir stated, "The total of all bank accounts left by my father is 2 million Turkish Liras and a Citroen car." She further emphasized her father's modest lifestyle by adding, "He had neither a dollar account nor any other property." She also added that the house where Önder lived was a rented apartment in Mecidiyeköy and was filled with his books.
