Three districts seen as certain! Will the AKP relax the three-term rule in Istanbul's districts?

In the AKP, which announced Murat Kurum as its Metropolitan Municipality mayoral candidate in Istanbul, the district candidates have become a subject of curiosity.

It has been learned that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has expressed his opinion in favor of relaxing the three-term rule for certain candidates.

THE DISTRICTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED

According to a report by Altan Sancar from Politikyol; Tuzla Mayor Şadi Yazıcı and Sultanbeyli Mayor Hüseyin Keskin are expected to be nominated again.

Esenler Mayor Tevfik Göksu is said to be either nominated again or being considered for the position of AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman.

However, it was learned that during the latest meeting regarding the candidates, tension arose between Göksu, known for his close ties, and the current provincial chairman Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, and that this tension stemmed from the support for different candidates in some districts.

On the other hand, it is considered certain that the AK Party will nominate Haydar Ali Yıldız, who has completed his first term, in Beyoğlu.
