Billion-lira loss from Koç Holding

Koç Holding, one of Turkey's leading companies, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025. While the company generated 14.3 billion dollars in revenue during this period, it made 801 million dollars in investments. However, a net loss of 1 billion 415 million TL was recorded.

Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu stated that the company maintains its strong financial structure, saying, 'Thanks to our balanced portfolio structure, strong liquidity, and extensive supply chain, we have maintained our strong financial structure in the first quarter of this year as well.' Çakıroğlu also drew attention to the importance of investments in the automotive sector.

STRATEGIC STEPS IN AUTOMOTIVE

Çakıroğlu stated that Tofaş has received approval from the Competition Board regarding the acquisition of Stellantis Turkey shares and that this step will increase automotive competitiveness in Turkey. In addition to the Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Jeep, and Maserati brands, Tofaş will also undertake the distributorship of the Citroen, DS Automobiles, Opel, and Peugeot brands.

Koç Holding is also taking steps to strengthen its position in international markets. While Ford Otosan and Iveco are collaborating to develop new-generation heavy truck cabins, Otokar is establishing local partnerships for armored vehicle production in Romania.

Çakıroğlu stated that they aim to be carbon neutral by 2050 as part of the fight against climate change and that they reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 3.8 percent in 2024. These efforts are among the important steps taken in line with the Koç Group's sustainability goals.
