Is CarrefourSA being sold? Statement from Sabancı Holding
Following reports regarding the sale of CarrefourSA, Sabancı Holding has announced that it is reviewing the company's operational strategies but that no definitive decision has been made yet.
Sabancı Holding has responded to claims that CarrefourSA's market chains would be transferred to A101 and Anpagross. In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the holding company stated that there is no binding decision regarding the sale of CarrefourSA shares.
The statement noted that various reports have appeared in the press and on social media regarding the sale or restructuring of CarrefourSA. Sabancı Holding stated that its subsidiaries are managed with a focus on capital efficiency and sustainable growth, and that within this scope, all alternatives, including "exit" strategies, are evaluated alongside strategies such as "growth," "transformation," and "improving operational and financial performance."
The holding company emphasized that claims regarding the division of CarrefourSA's operations or the sale of stores on an individual basis do not reflect the truth, and that no concrete decision has been made regarding the sale of the company's shares.
