New appointment in Yapı Kredi's senior management

It has been announced that Tolga Özdemir, who serves as the Head of Commercial Banking Management at Yapı Kredi, will be appointed as the Executive Vice President of Commercial and SME Banking once official approvals are completed.

According to the statement made by the bank, Özdemir is a graduate of the Department of Latin Language and Literature at Ankara University. Having completed his master's degree in Business Administration at Maltepe University, Özdemir has approximately 30 years of banking experience.

Özdemir began his career at Tekstilbank and has held various management positions within Koçbank and Yapı Kredi since 2001. Having served as the Head of Retail Banking Sales Management at Yapı Kredi between 2017 and 2021, Özdemir subsequently held the position of Head of SME Banking Sales Management.

Özdemir has been serving as the Head of Commercial Banking Management at Yapı Kredi since 2022.

Yapı Kredi CEO Gökhan Erün stated that the bank continues to create value for its customers and the Turkish economy with its strong staff, and made the following assessment regarding Özdemir's new role:

I believe that our executive Tolga Özdemir, who possesses significant experience through the responsibilities he has undertaken in different areas within our bank, will contribute to the development of the services we offer to our companies, which are the backbone of our economy, in his new role as well, and that he will maintain our strong performance in this field.
