We are becoming increasingly rude

LISTEN…

We are becoming increasingly rude.

We are more demanding, more brazen, more insatiable, angry, righteous but lonely, oh mankind!

Why are we like this?

Living is an art. If you cannot master the art of living, then do not live, oh mankind!

If you cannot stroke a child's head, if you are not eager to feed an animal, then do not carry that heart; rip it out and throw it away!

If you do not intend to finish the work you started, then do not start at all. Do not play with the hopes of those who rely on you. Do not roll up your sleeves just to kill the budding hope of others.

Do not act superior to those less fortunate or weaker than you. In fact, humble yourself as you grow!

Break yourself, shed a little… Realize what a small detail you are in this vast universe.

The life you carry is not greater or more precious than that of a fish, a crab, a hawk soaring in the sky, or an ant in the soil. Pay your dues to those you deem smaller than yourself.

I am trying to tell you something, listen to me.

What is this pride, this arrogance, this haughtiness in you, oh mankind?

Without looking at the universe with true insight, do not be arrogant, do not boast.

You see yourself as so great that you have stopped keeping the advice of your ancestors and forebears.

Do not be like a plane, always taking for yourself.

Do not be like a plane, always giving to others.

Be like a saw, one for you and one for me.

I am trying to tell you something, listen to me.

I am talking about a vast universe, endless planets, trees, waters, oceans, streams, stars, animals, the good, the bad. It is very crowded. Who are you in that crowd?

You have stopped valuing what is created. You thought no one was more valuable than you, you struck out with your words, you snapped where you were thinnest, you were scattered like a kite, but you are not aware of it.

If you cannot warm a heart, do not speak at all, oh mankind! I am not saying you should do the impossible for the sake of courtesy, but respect that courtesy. Do not break the one who looks into your eyes. Perhaps they have no intention of being broken, but do not be the cause of the breaking; do not crush your conscience under heavy burdens.

Do not be so eager to pull the rug out from under someone else. Why don't you dig your own grave first and hear your own funeral prayer; let's see if those things are so easy?

Do not fall, do not wallow in dust and mud while rushing to have the last word or to retort. First, look into the eyes of the one speaking, listen with all your heart. Who knows what cries are in their soul…

Instead of picking at the scab of their wound, try cauterizing your own flesh; let's see if that is so easy?

Like desert camels that cannot get enough of their own blood, instead of chasing those who praise you, open your ears to those who criticize you.

Instead of answering questions from your comfort zone with appetite and arrogance, test your forgotten pains; let's see what you will do when a question comes from outside your knowledge, try to see that.

Do not choose the easy path immediately; wander those roads, enter the whirlpools, get lost in their labyrinths.

Do not be fooled by fake applause, whistles, or the mutual flattery of your peers; do not be deceived so easily.

For those who do not know how to read or listen, and who have many shortcomings, people will become doormats at their feet, mislead you, and make you think you are a scholar. What could those who do not know better understand about the sterility of the ordinary?

Shed your own blood before waiting to be stabbed in the back.

Leave those who do not respect your labor; let them remain in the mud they live in.

Be ashamed on their behalf so that you do not commit the mistakes you would be ashamed of yourself.

How will you give your child the advice you have forgotten and failed to keep, how will you raise them?

Your blood has turned cold, oh mankind! Your heart has turned to ice. You have become unable to love anything but yourself.

It is not too late to remember. When our hearts come together, they remember on their own how warmly they beat.

For this, one must embrace. Embracing reminds you of your humanity, gently, in waves.

Welcome your new years by remembering these things.

As you remember crowded holiday tables, you will not seek that loneliness.

When you see the healing power of giving, you will avoid being so demanding.

As you understand the person in front of you, you will not always want to be right.

In this way, you will beat down your anger and abandon your brazenness.

As you remember your essence, you will be happier.

Wake up, oh mankind!
