Of course, there is no error in the analogy.
No one should take offense for no reason.
Last week, regarding the court's decision of absolute nullity, we emphasized that what we are facing is a search greater than the effort to extend the life of the government, after stating that 'the issue goes far beyond the CHP'; we said that the real issue is the ruthless clearing of the area so that Turkey can serve America's interests unconditionally.
However, it is necessary to read the whole picture well.
The government's Kurdish opening, the leveling of Gaza, attacks on Iran, the Abraham Accords, America's strategy extending from the Caspian to the Mediterranean, the Trump corridor to Azerbaijan via Nakhchivan, and so on...
When we consider these within the same picture, we can better understand and interpret the issue.
On one side, a structure that will ensure Israel's security instead of Iran's Shiite Crescent, and on the other, the creation of safe harbors for energy and trade routes in a way that will sideline China on the eastern coastline of the Mediterranean...
All of them are planned in a way that will maximize America's global and regional interests.
It is precisely for this reason that the strategic mastermind in Washington is not keen on a potential change of government in Turkey.
They must have observed that the people of my country have grown weary of the current government, and that despite all its stumbles, wobbles, and drifts, the CHP has recently emerged as a strong alternative to the current administration.
They did not even feel the need to wait for the NATO summit. They pressed the button without delay.
So, could they not have set aside the political Islamists and continued on with the CHP?
With at least a dozen names within it known to be staunchly Atlanticist... America could have worked with them quite comfortably.
It is clear they do not want to take such a risk.
Both the fact that the CHP base has the power to steer the party on strategic issues and the fact that Özgür Özel cannot control his base as effectively as Tayyip Erdoğan must have intimidated them.
In short, we can say that they do not want to change horses in midstream.
Now, let's put on our reading glasses, but keep our perspective a bit broad.
We are talking about Özgür Özel being removed from his seat by a court decision, but for some reason, we are skipping the fact that the real point where the issue emerged was Bahçeli being kept in his seat—again, by a court decision.
These are parts of a whole.
Just like Lego.
To flesh this out a bit more, we could start by asking why things are getting complicated in Turkey precisely at a time when the Middle East is being reshaped, Iran is being squeezed, Syria is effectively being partitioned, and the Gaza war is turning into a regional redesign operation.
Let's remember...
Those who wanted change in the MHP fought for years. Intra-party opposition rose. Congresses were convened. Courts intervened.
But Devlet Bahçeli remained in his seat.
Looking back today, we see that the issue was not merely the internal balances of the MHP. Bahçeli's function within the system had been preserved.
From that day to this, he has fulfilled the duty entrusted to him with due diligence, and he continues to do so.
Now, we must look at what is happening in the CHP following the absolute nullity decision with the same perspective. Kılıçdaroğlu also possesses a function similar to Bahçeli's in terms of the main opposition.
The real question is, what kind of regional architecture is Turkey being prepared for, and what kind of role is being carved out for Turkey?
Trump's "Turkey should also join the Abraham Accords" remark is not just an ordinary diplomatic wish, and we know this very well. This is the signal flare for the new Middle East order that has been discussed in Washington for a long time.
Because the U.S.'s goal has now gone beyond merely balancing the Shiite Crescent formed by Iran. The goal is to create a new political and economic belt that will make Israel's security permanent along the line extending from the Caspian Basin to the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Abraham Accords, which included the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco, were the first leg of this project.
Now it is the turn of larger actors. Turkey is at the forefront of these.
What would happen if Turkey were to be included in this process?
First and foremost, the government would have to reverse all the rhetoric of the last twenty years in foreign policy. The political language built on anti-Israel sentiment would be replaced by concepts such as "regional stability," "economic cooperation," "energy security," and "strategic partnership."
Do not say, "That would never happen."
What have they refrained from doing in the past 23 years that we thought they wouldn't do? After all, they have the sycophantic press in their pocket, and millions of salaried trolls are practically terrorizing social media; a hefty raise in the minimum wage and pensions would be enough to convince the people of this country!
When they say, "The state's wisdom requires this," everything else just falls into place.
They have already started pushing whatever they have done onto our people under the guise of "state wisdom." They are supposedly going to craft a success story for Tayyip Erdoğan out of this, and they don't want anyone to dare oppose it.
Since the nationalist, republican, and statist crowds are left frozen like a deer in headlights whenever they hear the phrase "state wisdom," they see this as an opportunity...
Yet, in reality, there is neither "state wisdom" nor a foreign policy blended with "state memory"; it is simply a continuation of the political Islamist mentality's pragmatism—which would make Machiavelli proud—and Trump's delusions...
What happens next?
Energy equations in the Eastern Mediterranean will be reshaped, Gulf capital will seize everything there is in Turkey, and it will be claimed that a new page has been turned in relations with the West...
So, how will Tayyip Erdoğan explain this to his own base?
Actually, he doesn't need to make any special effort. Since his base will consume whatever he feeds them, a new story will be written for this, and that will be that...
They will likely push it as far as they can with lines like, "Turkey is not the old Turkey," "These should not be seen as concessions, but as the result of Turkey's regional leadership," or "We are not concerned with Israel, but with regional stability," and so on...
In short, there is a very large equation at play.
An equation in which Iran is being weakened, Syria is being redesigned, Israel's security is being placed at the center of regional projects, and Turkey is expected to prepare for its new role.
From their perspective, the transformation that will emerge within such an equation requires the restructuring of not only foreign policy but also domestic policy.
Let us conclude by saying that this is exactly what was done with the court's decision of absolute nullity.
