Liberals and civil society activism

Regardless of what its proponents say, liberalism does not represent what is normal, reasonable, or inevitable. However, it has unfortunately largely convinced the broad masses, the poor, the laborers, and the oppressed that it does. It has, regrettably, succeeded in creating such a perception. It has, unfortunately, managed to establish a political, intellectual, ideological, cultural, and academic hegemony.

As the ideology of capital, as the defender and spokesperson for the interests of capital, liberalism serves the rich, not the poor. It advocates for an order in which the wealthy will earn more, make more profit, possess more influence, and move more freely.

Therefore, concepts such as democracy, human rights, freedom, and the rule of law are important and meaningful only as long as they are in favor of capital.

For this reason, less state and more market are desired. It is desired that the state's powers be pruned as much as possible, and that the state's authority, sanctioning power, influence, and sovereignty be weakened and restricted as much as possible. Those who do not think this way, and those who oppose these ideas, are declared by liberals to be supporters of authoritarian regimes, defenders of a tyrannical state, anti-democratic, enemies of freedom, and opponents of civil society.

The exaggerated glorification of civil society and civil society activists, and replacing ideological, political, class-based, and social opposition with them, is the preference of liberals.

Pushing politics and class politics into the background and bringing civil society activism to the forefront is the priority of liberals.

Replacing political parties, trade unions, and professional organizations with non-governmental organizations is to the benefit of liberals.

Liquidating the social state and replacing it with market forces, viewing the citizen as a customer, marketizing public services, and activating charities for the poor is the program of liberals.

Therefore, liberalism's understanding of freedom consists solely of the freedom of the market and of capital.
