A state of madness in politics

The air in my country is as heavy as lead...

Politicians are rambling wildly... Of course, "rambling" is the mildest way to describe what is happening. To think that this picture is merely a project by the monarchists to recruit supporters for the upcoming early elections and the chronic New Constitution is a very well-intentioned approach.

The earthquake that began with Bahçeli's mind-boggling political bribery proposal to Öcalan spiraled out of control with Özgür Özel's words: "I am offering the Kurds a State, I am offering them ownership of the Republic of Turkey."

You would think this State, this Nation is "their father's property." Sell it off, use it up!

Does Bahçeli not know that Öcalan, who has reached the age of 75 and spent a third of his life in isolation, does not have the power to dismantle the PKK, that the PYD/YPG is directly guided by the US, and that there are 85 thousand armed and trained militants in the YPG alone? Of course he knows...

How can he invite the murderer of babies and 30 thousand people to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and reward him with the "Right to Hope"?

Is the TUSAŞ attack not the PKK's response?

This fake call is actually a multi-faceted trap...

Can there be any rational explanation for the State, after a 40-year struggle, having the message delivered to the terrorist leader—"We couldn't do it, you do it, come talk, end this terror"—in other words, admitting its helplessness and defeat, through Bahçeli, who is defined as the most assertive nationalist?

It is possible if the People's Alliance (Cumhur İttifakı) is working as a collaborator of the US's Greater Middle East Project. It is possible if the People's Alliance has been convinced of the establishment of a Greater Kurdistan.

It is possible if it has agreed to the persistent demands of the DEM Party, the political wing of the PKK, regarding equal citizenship, education in the mother tongue, and federation.

However, it is also a known fact that Bahçeli, who shouts at the top of his lungs from his podium with furrowed brows and hurls threats at the PKK, the DEM Party, and even the CHP regarding terror, is very experienced in walking through the dark corridors of politics.

It seems very difficult to think that he would agree to the creation of a separatist Constitution by "brewing" (DEM-lenerek), as he puts it, for the continuation of his own reign.

However, the trap set by Bahçeli and Erdoğan began to yield results very quickly. It triggered those eyeing Kurdish votes. The "crucian carp" of politics went on the offensive. The slanders and smears experienced during the presidential election were forgotten. A race to "raise the stakes" was started, and the Republic of Turkey was offered to the Kurds as if the Kurds in Turkey did not already have a state.

Woe, oh woe!!!

Then came a move by the People's Alliance to make people forget the Öcalan statement. The Esenyurt Mayor was imprisoned due to "terror links." Those who wanted the "right to hope" for Öcalan did not speak up for the Mayor who was removed from office with dubious evidence and took refuge in the lawless judiciary.

At the Esenyurt Rally, the DEM co-chair spoke from the CHP podium. There were more DEM flags in the rally square than CHP flags.

What is happening? Who is running where? Is this a slimy, fake political construct? Or are the dreams of imperialism being put into action? We shall see...

However, having come so close to power, the CHP needs to engage in serious self-criticism and take the right steps.

The CHP needs to remember what happened in the process that began with the MİT-PKK meetings in Oslo in 2009 under the rhetoric of the National Unity and Brotherhood Project, Democratic Opening, Solution Process, and Negotiation; the so-called Wise People, the Habur disgrace, the tent courts, the PKK terrorists brought into the country from the Kandil and Mahmur camps without expressing remorse, how the State went to the feet of the terrorists in Habur, how the AKP surrendered to terror, how the terrorists were welcomed by a crowd of 50 thousand people gathered by the BDP organization with PKK flags, and the true face of this game.

Those who offer the State to the Kurds also have an obligation to explain to the public what the Kurdish politics demands and which of these demands they have affirmed.

The following questions must be answered clearly:

Which rights possessed by Turks are Kurds not allowed to benefit from?

Is it only the Kurds who are deprived of fundamental constitutional rights (freedom of thought and expression, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, etc.) by the autocratic administration?

Which Kurdish political faction has stood up for the nationalist patriots who have rotted and even died in prisons for years due to anti-democratic practices and the violation of judicial independence?

What does the CHP think about the concept of a "Kurdish Nation" that is intended to be appended to the definition of "the people who founded the Republic of Turkey are called the Turkish Nation" under the pretext of "equal citizenship"?

While "single-nation" definitions such as the American Nation, German Nation, French Nation, British Nation, etc., which are included in the constitutions of advanced Western democracies, are accepted, why is there discomfort with the definition of the Turkish Nation based on citizenship?

Again, while the official languages of these countries are used as the "single language" for education in all of the aforementioned countries where many different languages are spoken, what does the CHP think about the claim that the imposition of "education in the mother tongue" in Turkey is a democratic right?

Is it possible to accept the federation-autonomy claims that Kurdish politics has been voicing for years as a tool for democratization?

Are upholding the unitary structure, protecting the nation-state, embracing Atatürk's Nationalism, and safeguarding secularism values that the Founding Party of the Republic of Turkey can sacrifice for the sake of votes?

Moreover, our political history is full of examples of those who fell into this error and suffered defeats in elections.

The current administrators of the CHP must also know that they do not have the right to subject our Founding Party, which is the legacy of our Great Leader and which we proudly stand behind, to a populist shift in axis.

Instead of following the state of political madness full of traps initiated by the government, the opportunity to uphold its own honorable historical identity should not be missed.
