My friend, there is no end to writing about the affairs of this FETÖ.

The TRT production "Asırlık Gece" (Centennial Night) covers the details of the FETÖ coup attempt from ten years ago.

The reasons why and how FETÖ attempted the coup are clear and obvious.

Realizing they would be purged from the military at the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ), the FETÖ-affiliated soldiers, wanting to save their own skins, pressed the button early on July 15th—following their own "FETÖ military council"—only to be defeated by the counter-coup of Kemalist officers and the President.

In truth, there is no need for series or programs to write about these things.

At the construction site of a contractor fellow countryman I frequently visited in Eskişehir, I would come across the Zaman newspaper, to which he was forced to subscribe; back then, there was no place this newspaper did not enter.

It was a necessity, if not a requirement, for it to be found on every table in universities, in cafeterias, dining halls, and guesthouses.

However, because it was not very easy to read due to the complexity of its design, we usually used this so-called newspaper as a tablecloth at the construction site.

I did read it on occasion for some exceptional news.

On September 12, 2014, I read about the beating Turkish soldiers received from the bodyguards of the Kuwaiti ambassador in this so-called FETÖ newspaper, from underneath olives and tomatoes.

Apparently, in a common traffic dispute, the Kuwaiti bodyguards had given our pilot lieutenant colonel a good beating.

The interesting part of the incident was that the FETÖ newspaper would not let it go.

It kept the incident on the agenda for days.

At every construction site meal, this news would catch my eye on the newspaper we used as a cover.

The photo of the pilot sitting on the sidewalk with his collar torn and his face bloodied was being incessantly blown out of proportion to create a crisis between the two countries.

Then, I stopped seeing the news.

That was until the night of July 15, when I saw that the FETÖ coup plotter, the 141st Fleet Commander who came to bomb Ankara after taking off from Incirlik, was the same lieutenant colonel, Hakan Karakuş, from under the olives.

And he was also the son-in-law of a pilot general.

And he was the one with the bandaged ear.
