Everyone knows the answer to this.

We encounter it frequently on social media.

Not only are foreigners no longer coming, but Turks are also having a blast on the Aegean islands.

I am also among those who prefer the Aegean islands.

Certainly not because of the price.

The prices are more or less the same.

But the quality is a notch or two higher.

The cheeses taste like actual cheese, and the seafood has its old flavor back.

But most importantly, the shopkeepers are quite calm.

There are no rushed, boiled kebabs.

Even if the meat isn't halal-slaughtered, it tastes much better than our halal-slaughtered meat, though I suspect we don't have any real halal slaughter left anyway.

On the other hand, there is no banditry.

You don't get the feeling of being rushed off your seat so that a new customer can sit down while you are still at the table.

They have established a very ethical business system, whereas ours operate with a "hit and run" economic mentality.

Last year in Kaş, the restaurant manager almost ended up in my hands.

They told us there was a wonderful kebab place in the Kaş marina, where we had gone as a family, surrounded by exquisite yachts.

We set off, starving.

Seeing the steaming kebabs on the grill, the kids and I got even hungrier.

When we walked through the door, the restaurant manager and the head chef greeted us.

They made a reservation for us for an hour later.

When we returned to the restaurant after spending an hour at the marina, they told us there was no space.

In other words, they had given our table to someone else.

It was clear there was a wealthy yacht customer, so they didn't keep the promise they made to us.

When my Black Sea temper flared up, things got messy, of course.

The manageress ran inside.

Whether it was due to the insulin resistance caused by hunger or what, it would have taken a lot to hold me back.

The head chef couldn't lift his head out of embarrassment.

The customers were also uneasy.

Just as it was about to become a matter for the gendarmerie, I came to my senses and left the establishment.

The time for the funeral prayer for Turkish tourism has not only arrived, it has long since passed.

Please, proceed to the funeral service.
