Turkish Airlines, get a grip

You come across these types of articles quite often.

There is a group of writers and commentators who write so-called warning articles to brand-name institutions, supposedly to offer advice.

Depending on the importance of the warning they provide, there are those who ask for free domestic or international tickets, and there are even those who have the audacity to ask for lifetime free flights.

I am not one of them.

Thank God, even if it is difficult, we cover our own expenses with our own income.

But still, I am not entirely opposed to the idea of a free ticket.

We are going to Poland.

As part of a project we are conducting under the Erasmus program, we are flying to Warsaw with expenses paid from the project budget.

We looked for a cheap ticket and found one.

Even though we have money in the budget, we are frugal.

We paid less than 8,000 liras for a round-trip ticket from Istanbul to Warsaw with one layover and without waiting too long at the airport.

However, for a return ticket for a conference we are attending next week in Antep—mind you, just the return—they are asking for 7,000 liras.

Hey, Turkish Airlines.

It is clear that there is an event in Antep, which is why the tickets have become expensive.

Even though I can cover my own expenses or pay from my research project, I cannot pay 7,000 liras for an Antep ticket.

Either send a ticket or add another flight.

Take care.

But fix this issue.
