There are nearly two hundred countries in the world.
The French Revolution, the subsequent nationalist movements, and the great wars tore empires apart.
Water was heated and became steam.
Water was dropped from a height and became electricity.
Energy was discovered, and static life became dynamic.
Steamships connected continents.
Trade networks expanded.
Those who resisted keeping up with evolution and transformation, those who could not understand, or those who were late, were left in the dust.
Then, dynasties were toppled.
Nearly two hundred countries established their own independent states.
Everyone's dream was to do what the dynasties could not: to liberate and enrich their countries and their people.
Most could not reach the dreams they targeted.
They were left behind.
Only 20 countries succeeded, and among them, eight were very successful.
Their luck was having the intelligence and accumulation to become subcontractors to the eight highly successful countries.
In fact, they also struggled to enter the top eight, but because they lost the intelligent children gifted by nature to the top eight, they could not meet their expectations.
When the intelligent people who founded the world empire, the Ottoman Empire (Devlet-i Aliyye), and the basic science system were excluded, the empire collapsed within three hundred years.
Fortunately, the remaining intelligent minds caught the chance to establish Modern Turkey as a new country, and we found a place in the top twenty, even if as a subcontractor among two hundred countries.
The other 180 countries are beating the air to become subcontractors to the top eight.
Our goal is also to enter the top eight.
To industrialize, to get rich, to become civilized.
Is it possible?
It is not.
Why is it not?
Every year, we lose the intelligent minds that nature gifts us to the top eight, first in high school and then in university.
And we do it voluntarily. We conduct the exams ourselves and lose those who enter the top 500 to foreign-run schools.
We provide education in a foreign language and collapse their thought algorithms with brain trauma.
Then, we direct these intelligent children to medicine and engineering instead of basic science faculties, and we place them in the class of subcontractor scientists instead of inventive scientists.
Like a carp spiral, we are spinning in place like a milk horse.
Everyone knows the solution, but we need to look at whether anyone finds it in their interest.
