We are facing a systematic robbery. In this robbery, the assurance of state institutions such as the Capital Markets Board (SPK), the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), and Borsa İstanbul was used as a shield; the path to this massive fraud was paved by figures protecting one another through established networks of interest.
Now, the government is concerned with cleaning up the stain of this dark structure. However, what has been reflected to the public so far is merely the tip of the iceberg. Consequently, the earthquake that began in the economy has spilled over into politics.
The method always applied in the AKP to overcome crises—that is, sacrificing a few names to cover up this major fraud—does not seem very possible.
That is why fear has gripped the mountains!
That is why statements like "Let it be pursued to the end" have no meaning. This is also the truth behind the statements made by some AKP members on the day the incident broke out, claiming that "the SPK did not do its job."
Let us recall that after the incident broke out, a three-month period was given for the liquidation process, which was later extended to 6 months. However, as the extensions of the political wing began to emerge, it became clear that the incident could not afford to wait. On October 1, at the opening of the 5th session of the 28th Legislative Year of the dysfunctional Parliament, the President used the phrase "We are resolving the fund issue rapidly" in his address to the General Assembly. Subsequently, it was announced that losses of up to 1 million TL would be compensated.
It appears that the goal is to prevent the incident from spreading to higher political levels and to reduce its impact on public opinion. The AKP needs to regain its lost reputation.
It seems that the button has been pressed for actions aimed at all these intentions. Although attempts are being made to show different justifications for the bans imposed on social media accounts, the real reason is to prevent the sharing of details regarding the fund robbery. On the other hand, practices such as tax hikes on fuel, and bridge and highway toll increases have already begun...
The rest is well known; with bridge and highway privatizations, here is to another term...
However, judging by the information leaked from the inside, the difficulty of the situation is clearly visible.
While all this is happening, the efforts carried out under the name of a "peace and democracy process" are proceeding quietly in the background.
In summary, everything is focused on winning and maintaining the existence of the government. The principle of "public interest," which is indispensable for state administration, is now nothing more than a regulation that remains only on paper...
Optional IBAN from the SPK!
Meanwhile, an announcement was made by the SPK. In the announcement, an IBAN was shared for the fraudsters to return their ill-gotten gains if they wish!
There is no clarity in the statement regarding those who have obtained ill-gotten gains but do not want to deposit this money.
I wonder why; is it because they have already evaporated and disappeared?
However, looking at this announcement, one cannot help but ask, "Is this really the text written by the SPK?"
At this point, in order to see what is happening more clearly, it would be appropriate to convey some information regarding the SPK, BDDK, and the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK).
The President appoints all 7 members of the SPK. The President also appoints the chairman and board members of the BDDK. As for the 13 members of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK), they are elected by the President and the People's Alliance majority in the TBMM. In other words, we are talking about institutions where the executive branch appoints all members, and we expect these institutions to carry out their advisory and supervisory functions independently.
From where to where...
I hope the importance of the triple decrees that provided checks and balances in the past is better understood now.
Whose Heads Will Roll?
During the December 17-25 process, Erdoğan Bayraktar had said, "I did nothing on my own!" However, these words were not enough to save him.
It is clear that, just like in the December 17-25 process, it is thought that some "heads" must roll for the gears to keep turning today.
As a result, while it was expected that the practices and revelations of a system where the righteous are seen as unrighteous and the unrighteous as righteous would spill out after the government fell, the government and its partners began to fall apart piece by piece with the fund fraud.
This is also the reason why the precautionary decision placed on the assets of Hayati Yazıcı's son was lifted after only three hours. This practice shows the depth of the incident's scale.
In short, the knot has been untied, and the dirty networks are being dismantled thread by thread...
