Heading toward Turkey 2.0!..

Don't leave your news choices to an algorithm - decide for yourself what you read. Add 12punto to your preferred sources!

They have named the NATO whose name, reputation, and mission we know very well, following the summit in Ankara, as "NATO 3.0." The meaning of this emerged in the final declaration; Ukraine and Iran have also been placed in the crosshairs.

Domestically, it is full speed ahead; we are being dragged toward "Turkey 2.0."

The government and its media are rejoicing over the introduction of a framework law for the PKK. They claim Turkey has finally "reached the end of the road in solving its biggest headache of 50 years, the terror issue"... that we are "on the threshold of a historic process"... They are saying "Welcome peace," "Bright days are coming"...

The separatist terrorist organization they are engaging with keeps harping on about the "solution to the 100-year-old Kurdish question" and says the law in question is just the "first step"; but they choose to ignore it, to pretend they don't understand!..

Remzi Kartal, the KONGRA-GEL president whom Abdülkadir Selvi heralded would return from abroad once the law goes into effect, said just four days ago, "If it weren't for the PKK, we wouldn't have reached this point... The root law only opens a door, it cracks open a door for entry into democratic politics, that's all." But who cares!..

Which "War" Did It Win to Establish the Second Republic?

Would you look at this traffic?

The Imralı delegation of the DEM, the political wing of the PKK, rushed to the presence of the terrorist leader on Sunday. In a 3-hour meeting, they discussed this framework law.

The next day, they made a statement on behalf of the terrorist leader.

The terrorist leader said; "a thousand-kilometer journey begins with a single step."

According to average step-kilometer calculations; that means we have 1 million 311 thousand 999 steps left to go!..

Anything else?

"With this law, we are setting out to solve a historical problem. We are at the beginning of a democratization process that will be at least as important as the founding of the Republic. Just as great effort and sacrifice were put forth during the founding process of the Republic, now it is necessary to work with the same seriousness for a democratic republic... The law that politics will enact is a key that will pave the way for this process. A door is being opened wide to a democratic republic," he commanded.

Let us ask, just as Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin asked while replacing "War of Independence" with "National Struggle" in the curriculum:

From "what" is the separatist leader, the murderer of 40 thousand people, and his organization saving Turkey, or which "war" have they won that they see themselves entitled to establish a second republic?!

Also, the day before, Cengiz Çandar, who dedicated his life to the PKK, boasted while revealing that only Erdoğan, MIT Undersecretary İbrahim Kalın, and the terrorist leader knew the text of the law that was/will be forced upon the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey), noting that the proposal is expected to be submitted to the Speaker of the Parliament, and after the processes in the Parliament's internal regulations, it could be passed through the commission quickly and become law around the 6th or 7th of the month.

And by God, that is exactly what happened. That same day, the proposal was opened for signatures in the AKP Group without its content. Yesterday, the architect of the "opening," MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli, put his "historic signature" on it.

For now, we only know the name of that proposal; it is "Strengthening national solidarity and social integration."

Given that there is no problem with our national solidarity and social integration other than the impositions of the PKK and PKK members, and that the law was drafted from A to Z for the separatist terrorist organization; wouldn't it have been better to call it "Strengthening solidarity with the PKK and integration with the PKK"?!

Let us offer one more suggestion.

As is known, the "National solidarity, brotherhood, and democracy commission" created to dump this opening into the lap of the TBMM and send deputies to the feet of the terrorist leader was established illegally.

Since they are in such a hurry; they shouldn't waste time by sending the content-unknown draft law to the Justice Commission. They should just vote on it directly in the General Assembly while it is still content-unknown, and publish it in the Official Gazette, again without content!..

The Head of MIT: "Why Don't I Have My Own State"

Let us go back to the first opening process once more.

The "key man" of that process was the then-Undersecretary of MIT, Emre Taner. He prepared the plan to "bring the PKK down from the mountains," which the US also threw its weight behind; he got the government and the MGK (National Security Council) to accept it... He conducted "negotiations" with the terrorist leader... He brought Talabani and Barzani into play... According to the plan; those in the executive cadre would be settled in a northern European country, others would return quietly, and "democratization efforts" would continue alongside this.

However, there were some "annoying" issues:

- "Even if high-level officials and politicians accepted the truth behind closed doors, there was resistance at the lower levels, especially in the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior, and some military units. The same climate existed in the media and to some extent in public opinion..."

- "The failure to accept the reality of the Barzani federated state and the continued labeling of Barzani as a 'tribal chief' prevented the implementation of the plan to liquidate the PKK..."

In the past 21 years, these "annoying" issues have been largely resolved, as we are experiencing almost the same process.

Let us also share some of what Emre Taner said about the PKK in the TBMM July 15 Coup Attempt Investigation Commission after he retired.

First; "Some cadres within the organization were intimidated by the solution process. I met with these people face to face. The reason was this: Over 500 executive cadres were asking, 'What will happen to us? If we return to Turkey after the solution process, we will be arrested. What will we do?' Go sit in Norway, go sit in Sweden. With what money, with what resources, with what funds? There were great hesitations; those who went to the mountains that day are now 55 years old. There are men who have reached 60. There is no retirement on the mountain, there is death on the mountain, they know this, they wanted to approach, but they couldn't, it didn't happen. Because we couldn't put a proper roadmap in front of them," he said.

Second; "Yugoslavia collapsed, seven states were born. Montenegro is not even 2.5 million, it's a state. Macedonia is a state. The man says 'I am 30 million, why don't I have my own state?' Now you are in a position to answer this question," he said, practically agreeing with the PKK.

Let us recall another very important "foresight" of Emre Taner, who served as the Undersecretary of MIT for years, that "broke the mold."

In 2007, in the message he published on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of MIT's founding; he first made these observations:

"Turkey is in an interior line position between the Balkans, where wars of various scales and characters have taken place until recently and where potential conflict threats still exist, the Caucasus, which is a scene of friction in many respects and carries various potentials for instability, and the Middle East, which has been kneaded with de facto conflicts and terrorist activities for nearly 40 years. Furthermore, this position is also connected to areas opening up to Central Asia. It is a fact that these three regions and Central Asia constitute areas where global policies and 'role' wars are concentrated in certain respects. Therefore, in line with new problems and threats, there is a dynamic area expanding toward the east in the 21st century, and this situation shows that Turkey has gained/will gain a central position in an increasingly expanding area."

Then he said; "The protagonists and the extras are changing. Some nation-states will lose the marathon of history and lose their national sovereignty."

We are getting to this point; while the "state mind" was talking about "putting a proper roadmap" in front of the PKK 21 years ago and had accepted the claim of "I am 30 million, why don't I have my own state?"; is it possible that the terrorist leader in Imralı and the PKK have not asked for a guarantee for the remaining "1 million 311 thousand 999 steps"?!
