Is the Terrorist Leader Going to Become a 'Politician'?!

When 34 PKK terrorists entered Turkey from Habur with drums and pipes during the first opening process, MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli had said: 'It has been revealed by the statements made by the terrorist ringleaders on the same day that the first group of terrorists coming to Turkey were 'samples' and came for testing purposes.'

He did not stop there; he opposed the 'solution' package of that time with the words, 'The Imralı monster cannot be released as the AKP claims. The Kandil leaders cannot take refuge in foreign capitals,' and made the following predictions:

'If you pave the way for division for terrorists, why would they use weapons? They would no longer need terror... If you had given Anatolia to the Greeks, there would have been no need for the National Struggle. If we had not chosen Anatolia as our homeland, we would not have fought against Byzantium. If we had left Çanakkale to the British, there would be no victory to celebrate... If you give terrorists what they want, they will keep asking for more as you give.'

And he warned those who signed off on the Habur disgrace as follows:

'If Turkey is a state of law, everyone who has responsibility in this treacherous scenario, starting with the Prime Minister, the relevant ministers, and all officials at every level who were instrumental in this, will surely be held accountable when the time comes... In this process, the principles of the rule of law and the supremacy of law have been violated, and the Constitution and laws have been thrown into the trash.'

'When the time for reckoning comes tomorrow, the repentance clause of the law that they are forcing terrorists to benefit from today will never be enough for the repentance and forgiveness of those who caused our nation to suffer these pains.'

What about today?

They are rushing from all sides to pass the law they prepared for the arrival of PKK members before the Turkish Grand National Assembly closes.

The disagreement between Imralı and the government is well-known. While the government is currently only granting visas for the arrival of terrorists who have not been 'involved in crimes,' Imralı wants the law to cover everyone, 'guilty or innocent, leader or not.'

They absolutely refuse to accept that they 'committed crimes' or express any 'remorse.' Not only do they not do so, but they challenge by saying, 'The Kurdistan freedom struggle, the great and glorious struggle waged by the PKK, was a struggle for humanity, a struggle for human dignity, and one of the most righteous struggles ever seen in history.'

Thank God there is no 'bargaining.' What if there were? What wouldn't they ask for?!

But the matter does not end with this law; there is more.

They claim that the terrorist leader in Imralı is the 'representative of 60 million Kurds'; they are demanding that he be allowed to engage in 'politics,' if not themselves.

In the meantime, pay attention to these words from PKK ringleaders in Kandil, Duran Kalkan and Helin Ümit:

'There will no longer be war as before. We have stopped this. Let the opportunity for democratic politics emerge. Let us also participate in this process by engaging in democratic politics.'

'We cannot yet discuss the democratic integration process. Democratic integration does not just mean the disarmament of armed forces and their attainment of legal status. The democratic integration process is the process of Turkey's democratization. Since we think the process will proceed in stages, we are not prioritizing certain things.'

We have written about what it means for the government to call the planned law a 'code/framework' law, while the terrorist leader and his men call it a 'root' law. Indeed, DEM co-chair Tülay Hatimoğulları recently stated openly: 'For the first time, a legal and judicial step will be taken regarding the Kurdish issue. This is the reason we call it a 'root law.' We think this law should contribute to the formation and strengthening of other laws and other grounds in the solution process... Then other regulations and other laws should follow.' What these are was once again fleshed out in the final declaration of the DEM Party Assembly meeting.

It seems that the terrorist leader must be granted the status of 'chief negotiator,' and education in the mother tongue and equal citizenship must be accepted.

How they are confirming Bahçeli's findings and warnings during the first opening process, aren't they?!

WOULD A CHAIRMANSHIP OR PARLIAMENTARY SEAT BE ENOUGH?

Let's consider this demand for the terrorist leader to become a 'politician.'

DEM will enter a radical renewal process with the congress it will hold in the first week of September, and decisions regarding the change of name, logo, and co-chairs will be made.

Not long ago, exactly 3 years ago, MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli, while demanding the closure of the HDP, the predecessor of DEM, by reminding that its charter and programs were contrary to the Constitution and the Law on Political Parties, also emphasized the following:

'Praising crime and criminals, and abetting treason and malice is not a matter of politics but directly of law... It is a crime to support the traitors who fire bullets at our Mehmetçiks... It is a crime to praise the baby killer, to elevate him to the rank of a philosopher by mentioning that he reads many books, and not stopping there, to claim that he has been deprived of his rights... The establishment, programs, activities, and goals of political parties cannot contradict, clash with, or be at odds with the founding philosophy of the Republic of Turkey and the first article of the Constitution... If justice seeks to exonerate the criminal, then justice has perished there. Justice and law mean the state. If the state goes, the homeland will be gone.'

Are they thinking of electing the terrorist leader as chairman?.. Or are they planning for him to enter elections and be elected as a member of parliament through live broadcasts or rallies from his headquarters in Imralı?.. Since a person with a criminal record cannot do these things according to our laws, will the law be changed, or will a law specific to the individual be enacted?

But would a chairmanship or a parliamentary seat ever be enough for the terrorist leader?!

AND IF AN APOLOGY IS MADE

Since this week's Imralı visit is awaited for the fate of the 'framework' or 'root' law, which means a second Habur, let us recall Bahçeli's other reactions to the first Habur disgrace. He said;

'The first rehearsal of the Prime Minister's covert amnesty project for terrorists has been carried out, and in order not to hurt the pride of the terrorists, the honor and dignity of the Republic of Turkey have been trampled underfoot... Upon the instruction of the AKP government, 'special privileged practice for terrorists' was implemented, a 'jurisprudence of protecting terror' was created, and 'Kandil immunity' was introduced.'

'There is no political pressure, military victory, or government superiority that would require them to feel remorse, cause them to be embarrassed, or shame them even in the slightest.'

After 5 years had passed since Habur, he made the following assessments:

'The years that have passed have constantly benefited the PKK and empowered separatism... Imralı Island has become the unnamed headquarters of the monster-in-chief. The government has resurrected a terrorist sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment with concessions he could not even imagine in his dreams. Even the fact that providing secretariat services to the Imralı monster is on the agenda shows that the AKP is mired in filth from head to toe and has bowed to terror... Is it not murdering justice to offer illegal and immoral opportunities to a terrorist ringleader about whom the judiciary has made a final and definitive judgment?'

The reason we are reminding you of these?

Ahmet Özer, the former Mayor of Esenyurt who was arrested and removed from office on charges of 'membership in an armed terrorist organization' after being stated to have been elected within the scope of the 'city consensus' in the 2024 elections, claimed that MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli, whom he met after being released, said regarding the show of burning Kalashnikovs by 30 PKK members, 'I wish those women had come to Turkey waving their hands after burning the weapons,' and upon his own reply, 'But they would have been arrested if they had come,' Bahçeli said, 'No, we would not have allowed them to be arrested.'

Since this claim by Özer has not been denied even though exactly 1 month has passed, it means that the green light for new Haburs has already been given!..

Let us end with another prediction of Bahçeli from 2014.

When the Prime Minister of the time, Ahmet Davutoğlu, went to Tunceli and commemorated Rıza, the ringleader of the Dersim rebellion, with the so-called title of 'seyyid' and apologized for what happened, he reacted as follows:

'If you are apologizing today to a traitor who rebelled in 1937, know that very soon you will also be apologizing to a traitor who has risen up against the state, the nation, and our sacred values since 1984.'

I hope this prediction of his will not be realized either!..
